Invisalign

Invisalign, developed by Align Corporatio, are clear plastic aligners, commonly called clear aligners, that are customized to fit each tooth. These are removable braces that can be adjusted every 2 to 5 weeks or so, or adjusted on a stage-by-stage basis.

Invisalign treatment is normally not done for children. Invisalign is more commonly done in adults orthodontics with mild orthodontic problems allowing non-visible orthodontic treatment while undergoing corrective treatment without the social stigma of wearing wires on teeth. Invisalign thus a good complement for adult individuals who lead busy lifestyles and/or who are in the public limelight.

Invisalign Treatment Process

	Initial consultation During your Invisalign treatment, your orthodontist will do a first evaluation with you on whether Invisalign treatment is suited for your case. If so, an Invisalign treatment plan is mapped out. Tooth impressions and photos of teeth are then taken for digitization purposes. The digital records sent to the Invisalign laboratory based in USA in the staring the Invisalign treatment process.

	Confirm Treatment Plan With a computerized image of your teeth, the orthodontist plans the tooth movements throughout the invisalign treatment timeline. A virtual representation of your before and after Invisalign treatment is shown and confirmed with you.

	Fabricate Invisalign Aligners Based on your orthodontist precise treatment plan, the customized aligners are created with advanced computerized technology to wear at each stage of your treatment by the dental laboratories based in the USA. The number of aligners varies for each individual situation and a full set of Invisalign treatment typically includes about 20 aligners per arch.

	Placement and Wear of Invisalign Braces The Invisalign aligners should be worn at all times, with the exception of eating and drinking, in ensuring that your orthodontic treatment is completed in the timeline determined by you and your orthodontist. Monthly checkups in monitoring your progress as well as to receive your next set of aligners are made.
